Williamson County Commissioners Court will meet at 9 a.m. on Monday, January 5, but will not meet on Tuesday, January 6. The court meets in the District Courtroom in the historic Williamson County Courthouse, 710 S. Main Street, Georgetown.

Williamson County officials that were elected on November 4 will be sworn into office on Friday, January 2, 2009, at 9 a.m. in the Williamson County historic courthouse, 710 S. Main Street, Georgetown.

The Williamson County Fire chiefs Association encourages residents to use care this holiday season to prevent fires. Williamson County Commissioners Court approved a restriction on the sale and use of aerial fireworks in unincorporated areas of the county, and the county currently is under a burn ban.

The Commissioners Court approved a restriction on the sale and use of aerial fireworks in unincorporated areas of the county. All skyrockets with sticks, devices with fins or rudders for the purpose of achieving aerodynamic flights are restricted.
