The Commissioners Court approved a budget of $118,056,152 on August 19. On August 26, the court adopted the effective tax rate of $0.4683 per $100 assessed valuation. That rate is two cents lower than the current rate.

Williamson County and the Texas Department of Transportation officially opened the turnaround bridges over IH-35 at SH 29 on Tuesday morning. The projects will enhance mobility and reduce traffic in the area by allowing quicker access to the opposite frontage road without passing through the signalized intersection.

The Williamson County Commissioners Court approved the purchase of 1,011 acres in western Williamson County between Liberty Hill and Leander for a county park.
