Williamson County Brown Santa has several opportunities to have your child's photo taken with Santa for a $5 donation to Brown Santa. Photos are weekends from November 29 to December 21 at Wolf Ranch.

Effective immediately, June 16, 2008, County Judge Dan A. Gattis has instituted a burn ban for all of Williamson County.

The Commissioners Court approved a budget of $118,056,152 on August 19. On August 26, the court adopted the effective tax rate of $0.4683 per $100 assessed valuation. That rate is two cents lower than the current rate.
